Boxer Pal
9 week old, she sleeps in her crate during the night, with the door latched with no problem.
except when she wakes up she kind of sits there and if she sees us walk by she starts to whimper.. and when i leave the room she whimpers and howls? then she stops for a few minutes and does it again.

I want to try and leave her in her crate while she is awake?
Any advice?

We also have to put her in all the time while she is passed out on the floor? any way to have her go in there voluntarily?

Koa is 9 weeks old too. I've gotten him pretty comfortable with his kennel, but he hates when I am not in the room with him when he's in there.

What I did to get him use to his kennel is lured him in with treats and allowed him to come out immediately. Slowly, he lingered in there longer and longer until he grew comfortable enough to sit and lay down. Now what I've been doing to reinforce his comfort is I throw his stuffed animals and let him go in and out as he pleases. now he'll sleep in there with the door open.

Koa also likes a heating pad. it mimics the body heat of his brothers and sisters (I got this advice from another post on here)

If anyone has any suggestions on how to get him to stop crying when he's by himself though, I am all ears.
