Boxer Pal
Just want to hear those fun stories about how your Boxer has trained you...

Here's mine..
Anytime I tell Joe that it's time to "head to bed", he lays down and just stares at me. I open his crate and point and say "head to bed Joe" and he just lays there....
All I have to do to get him to go in without doggy protest is to go open the pantry door and reach into the Milk-bone box, and I can hear him get up and go to the crate. By the time I get back, he's sitting in there as if to say "Sucker!"

Let's hear yours!

Boxer Buddy
So far he's taught me how to.............

never lay in past his breakfast time. 8AM.

massage his neck.

be a victim of emotional blackmail on a daily basis.

take him on a 3 mile walk at 10pm when it's 2 degrees above freezing and i've just finished a 12 hour shift at work, (normally wild horses wouldn't drag me out) :-o

bend down to get the stick he's fetched me, only for him turn turn away at the last minute, (gets me every time).

Go shopping for practically anything and always come back with something for him.

Get a lot more exercise

but best of all he's taught me to laugh and smile every day since i brought him home.

Aasha has taught me how to :

Retrieve his toys from under the couch.

Hold his bone very still so he can chew it without it moving.

Chase him around outside to fetch HIS ball!

And lots more. lol :)

Lola's mum

Boxer Insane
My three have trained me to be able to sit on a sofa with barely any space and be ok with it ;)

They trained me to get up at 7am every morning 7 days a week and half the time don't get up themselves until about 8am

And mostly they have taught me to chill a bit and have filled my life with so much love & laughter :)
Oh and that walking in the freezing cold can be fun and enjoyable ;)

My Boxer

Trained me to sleep on very little of the bed, while he sprawls out taking every inch and cover! How to smile and laugh at the simplest things.

How is Scooter doing???? When I get on BW I think about you and him, and how he came into your life.... LOL

When Cy was a puppy he would potty outside, we would give him a treat when he came inside. He very quickly figured out if he went outside and "pretend potty" by taking a loop around the yard, that if we weren't paying attention he would get a treat. His loops started becoming smaller and smaller until he was just going outside and right back in for his treat!! We had to change our training technique, but it was so cute he could outsmart us for a treat at such a young age. :)

Scooter is doing great! Next month it will be one year that he came into my life, and life hasn't been the same since! He is so different from my Greta. He is afraid of everything, goes to day care, but has become a great snuggler. A little small tho, 44 pounds, but full of energy. Hope to rescue another this summer.
