how old until most of the puppy problems ended???

stuff like that, she is getting better and i love her to death and i knew this was going to happen so its not that big of a deal but i was just wondering when most of it stopped or slowed down for everyone..

I will just give my personal experiences here

like going to the bathroom in the house.

Potty trained by 7 or 8 months, however having accidents in the house occured through 18 months of age

haveing to get up in the middel of the night.

5-6 months

jumping on everyone who walks though the door.

This is more of a behavioral issue that you should be able to tackle fairly quickly, given proper training.

Gosh, and I thought it was bad when Jasmine sits along side the bed with ears tucked back giving a moan or two and pawing at the bed until I get up. This is typically happens any where from 5 AM to 6:30 AM. On the weekends I'm cussing and fussing (under my breath) about having to get up that early. I think that's why she tucks hear ears back because she really doesn't want to wake me, but knows I'd be really, really mad if she pottied on the floor. I actually think it is really cute that she does it (just not early in the morning).

Jasmine slept through the night at about 5 months, but only because I allowed her and Hailey gated in the master bathroom.

I think she was pretty much potty trained at 6 to 7 months. She is very, very, very good about letting me know when she has to go and has never had an accident in the house. (Exception was after spaying surgery and was sleeping when she peed herself, but I don't think that counts cause she was still drugged

Jasmine is now just over 2 and she has yet to no jump on people. Granted we may get one or two visitors every few months that actually come in the house so we typically crate them. However, even when dh take Jasmine and Hailey for walks and stop to talk to someone they will sit really pretty for petting, but as soon as it stops they do a quick jump up on the person

I think it's kind of individual based on your consistancy and the puppy's maturity level. The potty training for my female took a little longer 6-7 mos (but we were puppy novices). My male (our 2nd puppy), with the help of his sister, was pretty easy to potty train and understood where to go after about 4 mos or so. But, he continued to have accidents, probably because his bladder wasn't fully developed until about 9 mos or so. This includes holding it through the night.

Jumping on everyone--well, my male is terrible about this and he's almost 2. My female probably stopped doing that at about 18 mos or so. But if she gets excited enough she will still jump for attention.

Biting/nipping--we got after that one pretty quickly because it gets annoying.
They've never snapped or nipped in aggression. Play biting we discouraged from the first day. I really didn't encourage them to grab my hand because puppy teeth hurt. But as soon as the adult teeth came in the habit was gone. Every once in a while my male will grab at a toy and catch my hand. That's when I stop playing because we can't have any accidents. I'm worried that he could get carried away playing with someone's kid--even if he doesn't mean it.

Oh, I love that one!!!!

I forgot to mention about the biting/ nipping. Dh and I trained the bite inhibition which I've very glad we had. Matter of fact I also trained the new cocker, Sophie the same thing. I believe I will always train bite inhibition! I just think it's much safer.

Brutus is almost ten months and we sometimes still have accidents--always my fault for not paying attention. For the most part, he was housebroken at 7 months using bell training.

He started sleeping through the night at about 5 months. Sometimes, he will still need to go out in the middle of the night, but it happens rarely anymore. Most nights, he can sleep from around 8:30 pm to around 7 am without going out.

Jumping on people can be fixed early on, but since DH encourages Brutus to jump on him when we get home, I've been unable to make him NOT jump on other people.

Brutus stopped biting at about 6 months. He will bite sometimes when we are playing, but he knows when to stop before it hurts now.

One more week and we'll be going through this all again with a new puppy. I think DH and I must be crazy.

I'm not sure if I should even write this because I'll probably jinx us, but our 12 week old puppy sleeps through the night now. I didn't think it was all that uncommon until I started reading everyone else's posts. He goes to bed every night at 10:30 and sleeps straight through until 6:00, with no accidents and he's been doing this for about a week now!!! I guess we're just lucky, but watch tonight he'll be up a million times tonight because I opened my mouth and said something about it....

Calla has almost always made it through the night--as long as she was in the bed with us. If she wasn't, you could hang it up--you would be up several times a night! She is now 8 months old, sleeps through the night and very seldom has accidents in the house anymore. She barks when she needs to go out and so it easy to know when she has got to go. It seems when her baby teeth fell out, she stopped the biting as much. She stills plays and gnaws on my fingers, but it is a lot less painful that it used to be!! As far as jumping---we are still working on that without much luck!!
