How old before switching from Junior Food

Murphy has now went off the Beta junior dog food he has been eating since he was 6 months.(It has changed slightly).
He eats it fine but constantly has the runs!!
He is now 14 months old but it says to keep feeding him Junior food until he is about 2 years old.
I was wondering if it is ok to switch to Beta Adult or Beta Active or would this not give him the nutrition he needs.
Any advice would be great.

Definitely old enough to eat adult dog food - so I'd switch him over any time you like. It's quite likely that his runny stool is caused by too-rich food, but if it persists after you switch, you might want to try a different brand or something with different ingredients.

Puppies don't really need special "puppy formulas" - and in some cases it can be the cause of a few problems. If you do a search on this topic you'll find quite a few threads where this has been discussed before :D

He is plenty old enough. I have some three month old pups that are on half puppy and half adult. They will be on 100% adult by the time they are 4.5 months old.

Our vet told us to switch between 6 and 9 months. This was when he was almost a year old, and had come down with panosteitis. Apparently the junior food has too much protein and can cause bone deficiencies. It was very painful for him for a few weeks, but he got over it. We had trouble with loose stools, tried several different foods. Started adding pumpkin, which firmed them up right away, and he liked it. Now he is 2 and just had a problem with urinary crystals. We are trying to figure out if the food is the cause.
