Stitch will be nine weeks old, tomorrow. Last night, he slept in his crate the entire night without having to go outside. I know that this may very well turn out to be a one time thing, but it made me curious. At what age do must pups no longer have to get up during the night to go to the bathroom?
How old before pup will sleep through the night?

Cooper is only 7 months old and I can't believe I don't remember exactly. I think he was sleeping in his crate from about 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. by 10 to 12 weeks old. We got him a few days before 8 weeks and I remember about 2 or 3 weeks of not getting much sleep. Then all of a sudden he slept through one night and then another. He would every now and then wake during the night, but after a while it was no longer and issue. He is now out of his crate during the night for two weeks, sleeps in the kids' beds or next to my side of the bed on the floor. :( My husband doesn't want to share beds with the pups anymore. I bet when it cools off he will always choose the kids' beds. Our other dog does.

Revan slept with us for the first week we got him at 6 weeks old. I would wake up and take him out to go to the bathroom every 2 hours i was beat!!.. I thought that is what you are supposed to do. The vet asked me if i want to do this the rest of his life i said NO!. He said well then let him sleep through out the night and he will let you know when he needs to go.. He is crate trained so i started letting him sleep in the crate at night and he would wake up and wine and i would let him out to go and then back in the crate to sleep.. Now he is 12 weeks and he sleeps in the crate all night from about 9 or 10 to about 5 in the morning.. He then wines and we get up take him out and he gets his breakfast. So i hope he stays on the same schedule.. So far so good!!

Winston is in bed with us as well, he is 13 weeks and he can go from 10 -5. But, the moment my feet hit the floor I have to be ready to zip out the door. He has been so good, this morning I thought I had time to put on a jacket before going outside

at 8 weeks
Sasha started sleeping from 10 to 5 last week when she was about 8 weeks old. Sometimes she'll even last till 6 am. She turned 9 weeks yesterday and this routine is still going. We are SOOOOO relieved! I for one need my 8 hours of zzz's nightly. The first few weeks of getting up 3-4 times a night were torture!! It's hard to focus on my classes with 2-3 hours of sleep!! She is worth every lost minute of sleep though! Good luck!!

Wyatt started at nine weeks also. What I can't figure out is why he can hold it through the night, but can't wait more than 5 minutes after he wakes from just a two hour nap, or after playing for a half an hour. Just trying to figure this out is enough to make anyone crazy
