How much water should we leave out??

We keep our 8 month old boxer (Lexi) in the kitchen during the day while we are at work. Sometimes she will hold her pee the entire day, where as other days she will pee rivers all around the kitchen. How much water should we provide in her bowl? I don't want to dehydrate the dog but leaving a lot of water out makes her pee like no tomorrow. How much water is enough??

I would try finding the "happy medium"..in other words since she is in the house it isn't very hot find out how much by changing the size of water bowl and if it is empty and no pee then that is what I would do. That is my opinion since she can't be left outside during the day...

it's always a good idea to provide your dog with sufficient amounts of water. however, if limiting your dog's intake of water helps in reducing her indoor accidents then perhaps you can try experimenting with what amount works for your dog.
