How Much Robitussin DM to give

Hi all,
Baxter still has kennel cough. Vet say's lungs are clear, but he still has this cough. Baxter is 5 months & 35 lbs. We want to go the syrup route. Does anyone know how much cough syrup to give? I thought I heard 1/2 tsp. but I am not sure. As always, Thanks for your advice.

I would give whatever it says on the bottle for a child. You can also give them honey as it also soothes the cough.

Jan hit my advice on the head...follow the advice for weight on the children's version of robitussin (provided your babies weight is in the category)...i also got a syringe for Sasha from the pharmacist as trying to do it with a spoon was a disaster....The honey they will love and lick right off of the spoon!! Helps soothe their throat...(of course Telmar had to have some too! LOL)...I also tried to keep her still and not moving around alot as it aggravated her cough!
Poor Baxter...at least his lungs are clear and you don't have to worry about pneumonia!! Hope he is better soon!
