Of course I'm prejudiced but I think Scrapper is incredibly intelligent, as well as intuitive. He does this thing that is so cute, when we ask him if he has to go "outside potty," if he really doesn't have to go then, he sits right down and looks right at you, as if to say, "No, I'm fine right now!" Not to mention we have to spell the word "F-R-I-S-B-E-E" in front of him. He knows what our cars sound like when we drive up, all our names, his toys, the cat's name, so much more. He knows if he waits outside the bathroom when Roscoe is in there using the litterpan, he will be able to corner him because he has to come out that one door. When he's chasing Roscoe, I've seen him turn, anticipate and head him off just like he's herding cattle. And that doesn't even take into account his intuition of your feelings, knowing you are sick, or that he needs to be not jumpy and careful around a baby or a child with a cast on his arm, or a grandma.
I always think of the thing people say about us human beings - "We only use 10 percent of our brain" - Well, what if dogs use ALL of theirs? They got us licked and Boxers have HUGE heads...
