seniors

Sunny turned 7 in July. I am so glad to hear that there are so many senior boxers out there!!! When Sunny came in to my life when she was 3 months old and we went to the vet to get checked out, he warned me Boxer's do not have a long life span 8-10 years!!
So needless to say you guys have made me very happy!! I want another 100 years with her!!!!!

Gretel, my rescue, is probably 10-11 years old. She's got her problems (arthritis and vestibular disease), but she's still marching along, happy to be in a home rather than producing puppies like she did in her previous life.

Cookie will be 11 on January 12. She's got arthritis and Cushing's disease, but still gets along pretty well. I've had her since she was nine weeks old, and I wish she could stay around forever.

The Boxers my dad had when he was a kid lived to be 13 and 14 years old. I think a seniors gallery would be a great idea. Cookie and Gretel would be glad to participate :D

Completely Boxer Crazy
Nino just turned 6 so he's not a senior yet but I love the seniors and think that a gallery for them is a wonderful idea:)

Boxer Pal
Riley will be 7 in February. His face is getting pretty grey, his eyebrows are getting more and more grey. I've found some greys on his back.

You wouldn't know that he is getting older, he still rips around the yard like a maniac and plays and growls and play barks like he did when he was a pup. He is a great dog!

It makes me sad to see him getting older, he is my first dog as an "adult" and I am NOT ready to have him gone anytime soon.

Gotta let him out to chase a squirrel that is in HIS yard!!

Boxer Insane
Xena will be 7yrs young in just 3 days!partyicon Her eyebrows and muzzle are grey and have been for about 3 yrs now!:D In her younger days her face was totally black. If she is considered to be senior then she hasn't been told yet!:D She is stiffer in the legs and slower on the stairs, but she is very young at heart! An older boxer always reminds me of an older human wearing glasses and telling their grandchildren tales about past hardships and conquests! lol...I could just imagine the stories that would be told!!:D I think a Senior Gallery would be a great idea, to honor all the "Golden Boxers" in BW!!:) What a great suggestion!

My parents' boy is 11 1/2. He's grey (well, white!) all over now and slowing down a bit, but still has his wild moments. He's such a sweet boy. I just love senior boxers. They still have most of the spunk of the younger ones, but they seem to get a triple dose of sweetness as they age.
