How many meals for puppy?

Hello,

I have a question. My Liesel is almost 6 month old now. I started her at 8 weeks (when I got her) with 5 meals, then 4 meals now 3 meals per day. At what age can one switch to 2 meals per day?
She gets raw mix at those meals and in between a beef rib bone or pork neck bone for chewing. She weighs about 35 pounds now and eats a total of about 30/32 oz. per day raw mix. Her weight looks just right on her now, when I got her from the breeder I thought she looked a little on the thin side. That was the reason for the 5 meals feedings.
Any input on this would be appreciated.

At six months she'd be fine on two meals a day. That's about the age I went to two meals for my pups. If she's a good weight on the amount she's currently getting, there's no need to adjust the total amount she gets, just split it into two meals a day instead of three. How much is 32oz? I normally work in metrics - and would guess a 6 month old (on average) to eat around 800g - 1kg a day (I think that's something like 1.8-2.2 lb).

My pup is just about 6 months old and still on 3 meals a day. I haven't switched him to two meals yet because he is still eager to eat a meal in the middle of the day. I have also heard that it is better to feed a few smaller meals a day than two large ones because they are prone to bloat. I am home all day though, so it is not an issue to feed him in the middle of the day as it may be for people who work during the day. I'm sure at 6 months it is fine for your pup to go to two meals a day.

I was thinking that it would be OK at 6 month also. At least now I know I am not off on that thinking. Yes, I plan on feeding the same amount, she is doing very well on it. I just don't know how to compare raw to kibble amounts. 1 pound is about 450 grams, so 2 american pounds are not quite 1 kilo. Where in Europe are you from? I was born and raised in Germany many years ago. Going back for a monthly visit in 2 weeks. Our daughter will take care of Liesel and it would be easier to feed twice a day, but not impossible to feed 3 times.
