I have a particular love for these titles :)

Booker T achieved his SOM last year and has produced 9 AKC Champions to date. But my next big goal is a DOM on my princess Penny. She produced 2 Champions in her one and only litter. I plan to breed her next month and try for another 2!

another thing to think about

Those pedigrees also change with time. We checked Nalas recently to see if any of the ones on her pedigree acquire a new title. We found lots of changes.

For all the champions in a pedigree it really means NOTHING
if the dog bred has NO health testing done.

who cares if it is a champion if it can't make it past its 4th birthday????

The value of a good breeder is one who works hard to better the breed for everyones benifit.

health
temperament
AND
structure.

This thread also sparked my curiosity so out came the pedigree! Daisy's has 62 names in five generations and contains 49 Champions including 24 SOM's and 9 DOM's.
Again, having so many Champions on a pedigree does not guarantee a show prospect. Daisy is gorgeous to me but probably would have been difficult to achieve her title in the conformation ring.

pedigree

Jacksons, five generation has 41 champions on it out of a total of 62 names. No SOM'S or DOM's though. And I am wondering what steps I should take to get started as using him as a stud.
Many ppl that own boxers that we run into say that he is the most beautiful boxer they have ever seen, and also the biggest, as he weighs a whoping 100 on the nose, and is not over weight by any means. Any and all help would be appreciated.

A search here on the boards will pull up a ton of info on this subject! There are lots of things that would need to be done before breeding with health testing being one of the most important.:)

as he weighs a whoping 100 on the nose, and is not over weight by any means.

A 100 lb Boxer would not be standard since they are supposed to be medium sized dogs (I'd guess 75lbs to be a large male). The Boxer standard can be found on AKC's site (www.akc.org). Making sure your dog closely fits the standard is another one of the many things that needs to be checked before breeding.:)

Good luck in your research.:)

Please read the following for the health testing to be done before even thinking of breeding:
http://www.boxerworld.com/breeders/

Please also remember that the ultimate goal of breeding is to better the breed. Have your dog evaluated by a qualified and reputable breeder to see how close to standard he his. Then you would probably have to finish him since there are a number of great champion studs with wonderful lines available and it is doubtful that a reputable breeder will choose your un finished dog instead. If so it's more likely to be a backyard breeder.

I would say just think about this long and hard. If you are not serious about this, don't want to show your dog and just wanted to breed your dog to see the cute puppies, forget about it, neuter your dog and enjoy him! I am in no way trying to flame you but breeding subject on here is touchy, the general feeling is this should be left to the professional.

Thank you for the info, from what I understand though Jackson's father was decent sized, although I have never seen him as I am in IL and his father is CH.Moonstruck's Skies The Limit from Indianna, and his mother was from IL. But once again, thank you and I will do some searches on here.
