My Boxer ate a whole hen Sunday night. She didn't eat at all yesterday and vomited part of the hen (a large piece) that was partially digested. She threw up part of the hen about 2 pm yesterday (about 15 hours after she ate it) She has not eaten since Sunday night. I know that it is warm and her appetite may wane a bit and she has always had a sensitive stomach. I am just concerned that the bones were left in her digestive tract too long and I'm worried about bacteria, etc.... Not even peanut butter or treats will get her to eat.

I have fed BARF for about 2 years and have not experienced this. :(

What do you mean by a whole hen? It was cut up into pieces right?

I would put my hand on her stomach and slowly feel for any lumps... and if she still doesn't eat tomorrow, have the vet take an x-ray to be sure. How's her energy level? Will she play even though she isn't interested in eating?

Yes, the hen was cut up in thirds. My dogs eat hens quite frequently. She is drinking water and had a little bit of babyfood (human food) mixed with water a little while ago. She is kinda moping around, not too energetic but she is walking around fine.
