my 9 y old boxer woody, started having fits about a month ago, which came out of the blue... after many expensive tests and an MRI scan we found out that he has a small 2.5cm tumor under his brain... ;(
As he is old, dont want to put him through chemo and the tumor is inoperable, we decided to stick to giving him Prednisolone.. which has worked wonders.. however i know that it gives false hope.. he is on 15mg a day and when the vets tried to halve this... within a day he had a fit.. which we controlled with valium.
he is so normal now...however we are all aware that it is a terminal disese..
I dont want to live in false hope.. and wanted to get a rough idea on how long i have to spend with my baby! i understand each case is different, but i think it is best i get prepared,.. while enjoying my time with him.. i have read about Baxter and Wablys' stories and they are all very touching....
Thank you in advance!!
trish and Woody!!
