How frequent can you change food?

My dog gets bored of food very easily. Since he was a puppy (he's 11 months now) I've changed it about 3 times. He will love the new food when I transition over but give it a few weeks or months and then he'll act like he hates it. I don't give him any other food or table scraps, just bisquits. Is it he just gets bored? He's eating Canidae dry right now and he loved it when he first started, now he really doesn't care for it.
So is it ok to change his food every 2-3 months? Of course properly transitioning over gradually b/w the new and old food.

Actually, you can change it as often as you like :)

A great many people choose to rotate through a number of different kibbles. No one food has it all ;) The only limiting factor is the number of brands that suit your dog well.

As for how frequently - well that depends on your particular dog. If yours has no sensitive stomach issues, you might like to switch foods every time you empty a bag (and some people do). For those whose dogs need a very gradual switch, or who only seem to do well on one or two kibbles, they might switch less frequently. Really, it's just up to you and what suits your dog and your lifestyle :)

If you'd like to read previous threads about it, do a search on 'rotating foods'.
