Long Island/Queens Boxer get together

This is my first time communicating with anyone on this site.
I have a three year old fancy fawn, natural ears, named Odin. He's very friendly and loves to play. I think it would be great for him to play with and get to know other boxers that act just like him. He plays with my neighbor's husky and rottweiler wonderfully but I would love for him to meet his match with another boxer!

Hey- we live in Queens and go out to Nassau County pretty often- where are all you guys located in LI? we've been trying to find out info about a bash in the NYC area. Would we have to organize it ourselves or is there already one set up? All i know is that our Prince would love to meet and play with lots of other boxers!

I live in Queens also-Glendale, Queens. I usually bring my dog, Odin, for walks in Forest Park but I don't know of any parks that have large "pens" so the dogs can run and play freely. Did any of you have a specific park in mind?

How funny- we live in Kew Gardens and go over to Overlook park (the smaller park right near Forest Park) practically every day. We bring Prince there either before 9am or after 9pm (sometimes we cheat and bring him at like 6 or 7pm cuz no one without dogs is around) becuse the current Parks Commissioner has an "unwritten rule" allowing dogs off the leash during those times. and if no one else is around, which is often in the winter, people can bring the dogs there pretty much whenever. though, we're not sure how that rule is going to change when the new commissioner comes aboard.

i wouldn't say it would be a good area for a boxer bash, as there are lots of different dogs who go there all the time and it is not an enclosed area. but if you wanted to meet for a playdate, feel free to email me and maybe we can set something up- either at overlook or Forest park (we've haven't been there yet). :)

and if anyone else has an idea for a good place for a boxer bash on LI or in NYC...we're all listening!
