How does a dog become titled?

Well here is part of it:
Legs- Legs refer to performance events like agility, rally or obedience. In order to title at each level you need 3 legs. A leg is a qualifing score. So-- in order to get your CD obedience title you need to qualify at 3 different dog shows. The next level title in obedience is a CDX- again in order to get that you need to qualify at 3 different shows.
In order to get your championship you need to earn points. The points you earn depends on how you place at the show and how many dogs you beat. Boxers need 15 points for a championship and 2 wins must be considered majors which means you got 3-5 points at one show. In Iowa you get 3 points for beating 17 dogs or 24 bitches you get 5 points for beating 30 dogs and 41 bitches but shows that large are few are far between.

In order to qualify (get a leg) in Novice Standard or Novice Jumpers in AKC Agility, you need 85 points, without additional non-qualifying faults (knocked bars and missed contacts, etc.)
It's a little complicated, so I suggest getting a rule book
. For example, you can have 1 wrong course and 1 refusal and time faults in standard, but a wrong course in jumpers eliminates you. You can have 13 time faults and 1 2 point table error in standard, and still qualify. Your dog can get on the AFrame and jump off if it's a wrong course (5 points), but if it's the obstacle the dog is supposed to take and it jumps off, you cannot reattempt the obstacle so you NQ (4 paw safety rule). In Jumpers still need 85 points, but more than 2 refusals (at 5 points each) will NQ you even though you have 85 points.

Not to be rude or anything, but can whoever moved my post from "The Boxer Ring" move it again to the correct forum? I meant for this thread to be solely about agility, as I have no interest in showing. I also feel that I could perhaps get more responses in a different forum.

The AKC titles are (in order) Novice Standard-NA, Open Standard (OA), Excellent Standard (AX) and then jumpers titles NAJ, OAJ and AXJ.
If you are looking for specifics on how to get the qualifying score you really do need the rules and regs since the rules differ some based on the level and standard versus jumpers.
Also- other venues have different titles and regulations. My dogs have some UKC titles (see signature) which differ from AKC titles.
