Just a quick question..
How would you all recommend introducing a 3yo female cat to a home currently with two boxers? For those of you who dont know me we have a 3yo girl & 7month old puppy. They have both been around cats before but generally only older, quite aggressive cats where the dogs have gone on with their own thing & just ignored them...even at some stages being quite scared of them but never aggressive. I am rescuing a cat from a shelter TOMORROW! and am guessing she could be quite timid and nervous for the first wee while so am wondering if there is any help out there to make things go as smoothly as possible? If it is at all possible!

It sounds as though your pups are up to the task already. I am not a cat person, but I do know they are fairly independent. I think they will work it out on their own. Congratulations on the rescue kitty. :)

I would let the kitty make the introductions on her own. Keep her seperated from the pups for the next few days to a week so that she can adjust to the house, Then start bringing the dogs around her for longer and longer periods of time, making sure that they leave her alone. She can come check them out of she wants, but if they bounce up to her, she may get intimidated and become afraid of them.

Good luck, and thanks for getting a rescue!
