Thanks for the responses. I'm not sure how we'd survive without this site ... we're such newbies at this.
We are trying the "praise" versus "no" as well as walking away when he's nibbling at our feet. The walking away is already proving to be a success. I also agree that pups get immune to no. I sense that a bit with Ali. Thanks for pointing out that we should not say "Ali No"! We are guilty of that. I'll also check out that book. Several people have recommended it. Thanks again everyone.
