yup turn your back on him cross your arms in front of you and stand looking upwards looks silly but trust me it works reward him with treats or lots of praise when he sits looking at you with a puzzed look on his face like "what on earth is my mummy doing?"

Turning around the oppisite of your dog actually work I tried it on Peaches & she doesn't jump as much as she use to. If your boxer starts to jump ask him to sit or lay down. I do this to peaches; she lays down and wants me to scratch her tummy, she's a silly boxer.

I am going to puppy school with my 9 month old girl, and the trainer said to whn she jumps up on you, use your knew and from the side knock her off, she losses her balance and donest like that, and he also said to carry on as if she wasnt there, ignor her as another post said. :)

If by "knew" you mean "knee" - then I hope you've got better sense than to actually do that. Or to try to promote that sort of method on this site. Per the site rules, we do not allow any promotion of negative trainig methods, or those designed to or likely to cause physical trauma to the dog.

Sad that there are still dog trainers advocating useing a knee for a jumping pup.

Ignoring works as does giving the sit command to be greeted.

My Yorkie jumps but all the boxers keep four on the floor.

Crossing your arms and turning away works great! Kneeing any dog in the chest for jumping is just cruel. It's amazing that trainers are suggesting this still.
