How do bulldogs and boxers get along?

They get along great. Check my gallery for pictures of bringing Gracie (bulldog) home to meet her big boxer sister, Ally. The only issue between those two is watching exercise levels. Bulldogs are doggedly determined and typically don't heed the warnings their own bodies give them. Boxers can exercise a LOT more, and a bulldog could hurt itself trying to keep up/keep going if you don't keep an eye on them.

Otherwise, very similar breeds (outside of the height/weight aspects of their appearance). Same heat/cold/swimming issues, similar levels of guard and prey instincts, and both are somewhat obstinate and hilarious to watch. Boxers "hop" things over whereas bulldogs bowl things over, but that's just different sides of the same playful coin. They're most certainly my two favorite breeds. :cool:

My brother has a 2 year old english bulldog and he and my 8 month old boxer (both males and neither are neutered) get along great when they visit each other. They have been around each other for extended amounts of time and the bulldog does get tired well before my boxer but they never fight. I personally think its a great match cause the bulldog brings a calm energy to the house.
