How did you name your Boxer???

how did everybody get the name for your boxer? i liked Top Gun so i named him Maverick. he is very much like Mav in the movie....especially with the flybys!!!! since he is white, a co-worker of mine told me i should have named him IceMan (Val Kilmer). when i get another boxer, i will use my favorite movies again. Tombstone, Goodfellas, even Top Gun again are on my favorite list to choose from. some cool names in those movies. let me know why you your boxer has his/her name!!!!

Mack is the first "boy* in a long line of daughters, grand daughters and female pets. My husband finally got his boy! When we got him, the breeders little boys were calling him "The Big Lebowski" - he was their favorite puppy.
We sat on the floor the night we brought him home going through "guy" names. One of the ones I thought of was Mack - as in "Built like a Mack Truck." He was our second Boxer, so we know how big and strong they are, how they can barrel down the beach like a locomotive and go through the brush like a bulldozer (I also liked "Dozer").
He was a big puppy and has stayed big - he is 26 inches high and 87 pounds. "Mack" really seemed to suit him.
My husband has a lot of Mack Truck hats and shirts and pins. I would love to get a picture of Mack in the front of one of those big trucks.

we did the three muskteers with D'artagnan and Aramis. we thought that they were reagal looking so that they needed a reagal name and we didnt wasnt a typical tough name, we though that was too easy. so they stuck. aramis is the serious and quiet one like the priest you see in the movies. and in "man in the iron mask" (only one of our muskteer movies) they had said that Dartagnan had his loyalty to the him that made him great, and well..... my dartagnan is loyal just in a much goofier way.

Ruby was Rudy when we got her from the breeder; we would have loved to name her Jasmine but didn't want to stray too much from the name she was used to.... and my husband wanted to change it because it didn't sound feminine so Ruby it was.

Chad I did the movie thing to and will on my next Boxer. Debo is from the movie(s) Friday with Ice Cube he is named after the character (bad guy) Zeus played! I will keep with the bad guy/gal thing. I haven't thought of a name for a bad girl though, although I like Lucy Lu and she played a bad character in some movie with Antoinio Bandares....???

Buddy was named by our son as Budweiser, Buddy for short. Yes Budweiser Beer is what he is named after. Our son was in college at the time, so you know what he was studying. It sure wasn't the books!! Kailee was already named Kailee when we adopted her, so to avoid confusion we kept her name. I kind of like it. It suits her.

Our first Dogs name is really Magellan so we wanted something that would kinda go with that, so we chose Coppernicus. Now, though it dosen't really fit him, so we just call him noodle.
