How did you come up with THAT name?

Our skin daughter's name is Justice. She is 6 yrs. old. When I was pregnant with her, I saw the movie Poetic Justice and I fell in love with her name. I thought it was a very strong name for a girl and so far she's proved that right.

Magnum got his name as a namesake from the two dogs my husband and I had as children - Magnum and Maggie. We often get asked if he's named after Magnum P.I.

When we adopted Omar, we kept his name the same - he just looks like an Omar. The boy who was his previous owner named him after his favorite baseball player.

Roxy got her name from the girls line of clothing. My brother named her and I think it's a pretty name.

From the time I had picked Canon out from the breeder at 4 weeks old. I had planned to name him Bosco. I was watching breed about it it was about Irish Setters and there was an preiset on there and his name was Canon. I thought that was neat.

We just liked the name Oliver

Gracie got her name because I say it was God's grace that lead us to each other.

I just recently adopted a 15lb black cat from my vet. A lady that had him was allergic so she left at the vet to be placed. I love him. He thinks he's a dog. I named him Snow.

Buddy

Well, Buddy was named kinda by accident Our neighbors are under the impression that you shouldn't name a dog unless you're going to keep it (they also have a thing about letting dogs that aren't yours in the house, but we kinda felt like we had to bring him in especially with all the stray cats running around ) So, when I first "met" Buddy I noticed he was a boy andI have a tendency to call all boy dogs "Buddy" and all girl dogs "Sweetie" so, I said "Hey Buddy and reached my hand out and his little ears perked up and he came romping over and licked my dog. He's been Buddy for the last week and he's earned to answer to it as in "Buddy no!" and "Buddy come" and "Buddy sit" (we're still working on sit :rolleyes: The neighbors think Im a nut but I don't care Their dog's boring

Nash already had her name when we adopted her. We didn't really like it, it doesn't sound like a girl's name. But she seemed to respond to it, and we kept calling her that until we could think of a better name. Needless to say, after the first weekend, she became Nash to us, and it stuck! Now I kinda like it, it's unique!

My husband actually had Creed's name picked out weeks before I brought him home. His explanation was because of his love of the breed. His reg. name is A Georgia Boy's Creed. My collie's name is Sunny because of his color. He's a beautiful golden color like the sunset. His reg. name is Nellie's Golden Gatekeeper because he's always guarding the fence. My daughter's dog Starla got her name from the soap opera Guiding Light. Harley was undercover and used that name as an alias. Ciera wanted suggestions and I said what about Starla? And so it was, I'm weird I know.

When we went to see the litter we had been told that one was a white and after reading all the garbage that you get from the so called purists I had decided that I didn't want the white. It was cold outside so the breeder had the pups in their kitchen with kiddie gates up in the doorways. We walked up to one of the gates and watch for a minute. I then yelled out "Hey pups". All of the puppies ran back into the box that they had been staying in except for the white. He stopped what he was doing, plopped down on his butt and looked at me with that cocked head look that boxers give. He had a patch over one eye and with that look the only thing I could think about was Petey from the Little Rascals. He is the one that ended up being my daughters Christmas present. It was one of the best things I have ever done.lovicon
