How did you come up with THAT name?

Copper's AKC name is Queen's Copper,
Queen's because we got her from her in Queen's NY, and Copper because of her Color (I know... Real Orignal)
But we call her Cop, Copy, boppy, bub, buba, and my boyfriend calls her Hunka Bunka, Because she is a hunka bunka burning love.

We got the name Cleatus from the Nutty Porfessor. He is the father that farts and has no manners(perfect for a boxer). he also just looks like a Cleatus.

Daphenes name just came out of nowhere, we just thought it suited her.

All of our pet's names just sort of come to us. When we were deciding on Marlee's name, we tossed around a bunch of names, but Marlee just kept sticking in my head. Then the breeder asked me what we were planning on calling her, so she could start using the name, and I said, "we haven't decided on one for sure but I keep thinking about the name Marlee" (at that time we were spelling it Marley). Jayde said she LOVED that name; that they were even going to name one of their next females that, and it would fit Mar perfectly because she was dark like Bob Marley. The reason we changed the spelling, was "Marlee" seems more feminine, but also, there is another Marley here on the boards, and I didn't want them to be confused, since it isn't a very common name.

I wanted something short and sharp and this name just sort of came to me when I saw her - she can be a right prima donna and madam at times and the name suits her.

Tango's name came from a democratic (read not very creative) way of picking a name. My wife and I came up with a big list of names we liked and took turns marking a name off the list until we had one left which was Tango. When we got Spinx I wanted to name her after a pro Boxer so we thought of Michael Spinx and the last name kinda fit a girl. Tiger was named because of his stripes (he was a brindle Boxer). Daisy was what I called my childhood boxer. I got that from Daisy off the Dukes of Hazard. Her registered AKC name was Lucifer's Lady.

Annie's call name, came from my son he thought because she was born the day after my husband & I anniversay that Annie was appropriate. We all agreed! Her AKC registered name came from both sides "Farm Hand Ani Rose In Levis"

I am a artist and decided to name Mona after Mona Lisa ( she is of course a pretty girl) and I have a 22 year old cat named Winslow Homer.

We also found a boxer running on the freeway weighing 30 lbs. with parvo, laserations all over her body and near death, we took her to the emergency clinic and they told me the bill would be about $500.00 to treat her and what did we want them to do with her. We decided to pay for her because any dog that went through what she went through deserved a second chance ,they wanted to know what name I wanted to leave her with and we chose.... Chance. She has become the best behaved boxer, so smart, so loving, so devoted and so beautiful.

Our baby's registered name is Lady Saffron Austin. We call her Saffron, but most of the time it's just Saffy. Lady is after part of her mother's name and after a lab that my boyfriend had from the time he was 6-24. Saffron is after Saffron-Walden the village in England that my boyfriend grew up in. I thought of that name the day we picked her out and he just loved it! (He was going through a little patch of homesickness at the time) Austin is after the city that we live in now. We love it here so much we had to name our dog after it! We usually just call her Saffy, it really suits her. She's my little Sassy Saffy. We get asked from time to time if we named her ater the daughter on Absolutely Fabulous.

wow! I saw someone else with a Chivas, after Chivas Regal! My ex-boyfriend named him, because Chivas was his dog first. Then he tried to give him away. (Chivas has been mine since, but the boyfriend has long since been gone) so I decided to stick with liquor (Karen, I saw you had Kahula & Amaretto for cats!)
And so I decided on Tia Maria. Karen, on the next one, you'll have to join me at the bar to pick a name!
