How did you come up with THAT name?

When "pretty" was born...all we could say was.."she's sooo pretty" so it stuck...She's my pretty girl!!!
Our cat got her name "tinker" cause we rescued her when she was a kitten and she fit in the palm of my hand...Which are tiny.."tinker" for tinkerbell.

I liked reading about how you all named your pooches. My boxer is called NAZ when we went to pick our adorable little pup up all the way home in the car my two boys were throwing names at us one would like the other not then one of the boys said nassem after the british boxer prince nassem i said thats a good idea but lets shorten it t to Naz so thats how he came along. Hes now 17 monthes old and all the kids love him where we live and even the little ones have no trouble calling his name.

Cane came first and he was named after Ruben Hurri"cane" Carter. Then we got a female and decided to name her Sugar after Sugar Ray Robinson so that they would both be named after boxers. So now we have our very sweet SugarCane.
All Hawaiian names
Well, growing up, all our boxers had Hawaiian names. There was Mele (Happy), then Haile (gift), then Kekoa (warrior), then Alelo (tongue), and Hoa (companion). We also had a cat named Hoku (star). Kekoa often got shortened to Koa, and Alelo was often Lelo, Mellow-lelo, or yello-lelo. My dog now is Max (he was a rescue). Not much to shorten there. I usually call him goober, unless I'm mad or need to get his attention very quicly. And then when he is being lovey-dovey, he is Maximus!

Brody is named after the NJ Devil's goalie, Martin Broduer. He was the easy one.
Bosco is named after the cop on the TV show Third Watch, Boscarelli (not really sure of the spelling). Please don't think I am a bad mommy. . .it took two weeks to come up with a name for him. We tried out about 5 other names and none seemed to work. :confused:
