How did you come up with THAT name?

My 1st Boxer was a rescue. His name was Riddick, after a boxer of course!

Murph was easy! I have always loved the name Murphy and my fiance obviously did too because when we saw him I said MURPHY! He said MURPH...and of course it fit so Murph...aka Smurph, Smurphy, Murphers, Sir Murphsalot!

Hugo, a rescue, was named because the people wanted to name their 1st skin baby Hugo, but thought that would be way too hard in school etc so named their Boxer! It fits him. He is aka Hue, Hue Baby, and Hudamur (don't ask me just came natural LOL)

Maddie my JRT is short for Madison...aka Madders....and of course MISS MADDIE...my boys even call her Miss Maddie :D

Wanted to mention my cats too!

Whiskers got his name when he was kitten. He have longest whiskers and he kept step on it!

Mischief - As kitten she is mischieves but soo angel now??

Blue- As kitten he is all dark gray like blue color in him. He out grew that color and into a tiger color how????

Tippy as kitten she is light gray with several white tip on her. and now turned out to be beautiful slick black. Blue is her brother.fiesta1ico

Oh yes, forgot the birds!!

Ozzie is a Meyer's Parrot-his name is because of my fave movie Wiz of Oz!! His green color reminded me of "Emerald City".

We recently bought 2 parakeets and I let my 4 1/2 yo twin boys name them...they are "Hearty" because mommy likes hearts, named by Nicholas and "Juey" is the other. Nathaniel wanted Joey, but we had a bird named Joey before that went to the bridge So he chose Juey! They did pretty good I thought.

We weren't very creative when naming our baby Ruby. We tried several names on our way home from picking him up at the breeder and my boyfriend said he reminded him of the female boxer (same colors and markings) he had when he was a child hence the name Ruby. I love the way some of you got your names.

Couldn't resist this one!

We purchased Goliath Knowles before he ever opened his eyes and of course we were searching for the perfect name....But instead his name came from necessity, I guess. Our neighbors at the time had a 108lb german shepard and when they learned we had bought a puppy...they said it would be wonderful for their dog to have a PLAYMATE! Picture that...a 108lb hoss playing with the baby I could hold in one hand!!!!! We decided then and there we had to give him a name he'd have to grow into if he were to have a fighting chance:rolleyes: Oh yea, did I mention the shepard's name was Sampson....Goliath seemed to be our ONLY choice! djk

I got Leena's name from a dog show that was on t.v. the night I got her. One of the dogs was named Leena. I added an extra "e" for uniqueness . It just so happens that my daughter's name means "giving life", and Lena means "giving love". That was totally a coinsidense. Mason was named by Lone Star Boxer Rescue. I tried to change his name to Chance, for obvious reasons, but it didn't stick.:rolleyes:
