How can I stop this???

After saying that I hope it works!!! I have never actually done it as my boy has a sand pit and will generally keep his digging in there. It was a tip from a dog trainer - they specifically suggested it to stop dogs from pulling washing off the line - just lay the chicken wire under the clothes line.

Well, I will let you know! My girl is pretty good now so I just have some old spots i would like to seed. Worth a try!

Are they getting plenty of exercise? Might be a sign of boredom.

Sometimes my girl did it out of boredom or to get to the sprinkler head. She has only dug a few times ever. The first time she ever did dig a hole, as pups will do, I put a piece of her poop in it and waited a couple of days before filling it. She never did keep digging and we have never had a problem with it. Don't know if it was the poop or that she wasn't often that bored. I know it sounds gross but it seemed to work.

Mine digged a few times as a puppy when he was bored....no problems with it now....hes to busy :D
