How are your furbabies handling the fireworks?

Tanner tries to attack them so he ends up on a leash attached to a chair. He does not seem to care whether he gets burned or not. I got a good scare yesterday because I was inside the house when the fireworks started and no one realized that Tanner was not on leash and he attacked one of the spinner things. I was so upset but it didn't seem to phase him. I checked him over face, mouth, and paws and did not see any burns (thank goodness) but after that I wouldn't let him off leash. Crazy boy, lol!

We took Murphy to watch the fireworks from a bridge that a lot of people turns out go to to watch them. There were a few other dogs, including a beautiful boxer boy. We told Murphy to get used to the boxer :D He did really well. My friends brought their dog also, and he was ok. It wasn't very loud though, since we were far away. A couple of times when the big ones went off, he perked up but no real nervousness thankfully.

Zuki figured out a surefire way to deal with the noise of the fireworks -- She snored loud enough to drown them out!

She is 9 1/2 months old and had not been around loud noises much. Even though she is mellow (boxer mellow that is!) and not skittish, I had no idea how she would handle the booms. Well, she did great. Didn't seem to phase her in the least -- I even took her out back to do her business when some of the boomers went off and she didn't as much as flinch. What a pleasant surprise. She then went inside and promptly fell asleep in spite of the bottle rockets, firecrackers, M-80s and whatever else the local yahoos had.

my baby handled it pretty well,
the first one she heard she looked at me like 'momma, what is that' and cocked her head, but then she was like eh whatever--
my other dog, not a boxer, went crazy. he was hiding and shaking it was horrible!

Our neighbors finally had their party last Saturday and they always put on quite the show. Bella would sit on the patio and watch them, then run to the back door. When we put her in, she would sit and look at us so we let her back out. She would watch a few more, then run back to the door. Finally we just left her in and she sat in the bay window and watch the rest of them go off! She isn't afraid of the sound but I guess she thought those things in the sky might just come and get her!
