Housekeeping.....how do you do it!!!!

Alright, I can handle the vacumeing and the sweeping and dusting etc etc....but what do you guys do when it comes to the washer and dryer.

I've had to wash Lukas blanket several times within the past week and every time it leaves a ton of hair inside the washer and the dryer. The lint trap catches the majority in the dryer but still the tub of the washer is covered. I put it through another rise cycle with the washer empty but it just pushes the hair up to the level of the water. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem so what do you guys do to clean your washer out after washing bedding, blankets, etc etc....

To be honest Lola & Zeb hardly loose any hair and I've never found much in the washer or drier. I run the washer on an empty wash cycle and wipe both inside with wet kitchen roll.

I haven't found much hair left in the washer after washing the blankets, but I always empty the lint trap on the dryer 2 or 3 times while the blankets are drying.

I really haven't had this problem . I wash their beds ( the covers that go on each bed are zippered for washing) every week when I strip our bed, I do theirs too. I do empty my lint trap CONSTANTLY!! Hubbies a Plumber and I have to hear what a fire hazard that is every second That must be a pain though, good luck with a quick easy solution

Sorry I don't get much hair either...it's funny it wouldn't bother me if there was and get this, I'm a clean freak, my friends and family still are in aw that I have two big dog's

Hmmmm, am I the only one whos dog sheds? or do I just have a crappy washer that doesn't rinse worth a darn?

I have that problem with my 80lb. "All American's" blankets, but he has that "chow" undercoat going on...oh and my washer stinks too...it's an old apt. one, but we are running it till it dies.

I vacuum the dog beds and then throw the covers in the washer. Several times I have had to take the whole dog bed to the BIG washing machines ( the side loaders) at the laundry mat because of a bad BARF situation. Sorry to anyone who used those machines after me---------yah that was me!!!

I have a huge bedspread that is my absolute favorite but it gets covered in dog hair. :( It's way to big for my washer so I go to the local laundry mat every couple weeks with it. They have a big commercial size washer and it's $5 to wash it. All the hairs come out. In between washes I use one of those sticky roller lint things to get the hair up.

I've never had hair left in the washing machine after washing bedding or anything the dog has constant contact with. My lint catcher in the dryer also grabs all the hair.

Blizzy shed all the time!! Constantly. And her bedding could get quite hairy in a matter of days.

Maybe something is up with your washer. Do you notice "left overs" during washing regular things..
