Wow...6 weeks old!!! That is very young to be house trained...even for the smart boxer! Lacie is still very much a tiny puppy, and I am sure there will be plenty more accidents in the house!! If you do a search on here (blue button, top right of screen) on the subject of house-training, or even check-out the Puppy Forum, you will get tons of helpful information!:)
We have enjoyed our little Spirit since he came into our home at 8 weeks old in January, and he has since been going outside regularly (or should I say "routinely" ;) ) for the past 2 1/2 weeks with almost no accidents!:D We are very proud of him! We also expect there to be a few more accidents since he is still very much a puppy!:)
Good luck.

I don't think you can expect TOO much from a 6 week old puppy!

My Sam is 5 months, and is just now getting the hang of going outside to potty.

Just keep working on it! Hopefully it won't take Lacie quite as long as it did Sam:)

I kept my dog tethered to me at all times with a short leash!
Taking him out at regular intervals. (like every hour, at first) :)

He is 99.9% housetrained! YAY! partyicon
He is 7 months old. Good Luck!

Jaz & potty

Jaz is now 11 weeks old. We crate her when we are gone, and at night. She does not go potty while in her crate. However, when we are out of her sight (like when we are getting ready for work) she will squat herself anywhere--I assume that she is not very happy that she is not with us. I think I will start trying what dawn1 does, and keep her with me. What can it hurt?

Lexi is 12 weeks old and isn't fully potty trained. The key is to keep an eye on them at all times. I get mad at myself when I find a spot and I wasn't there to witness the event. This hasn't happened often, but..... Her last incident I caught and when I said Lexi she quit midstream and headed for the doggy door, out to the deck, on the grass, and finished her business. Boy, was I a happy camper. The next day she went to the door and all was well. Thought it was licked, but, pee and poop the next day. It just takes a while I guess, or I'm not doing it right!

Potty training will differ from dog to dog. I believe 6 months to be an accurate average. For complete reliability!
We also purchased a "black light"...I went around the house in the dark, if there are any urine stains they will 'glow green'.
Because it is impossible to watch 100% of the time.
I also had a water schedule and limited amount during those early months. Good Luck Everyone!
I am so glad it is done!!! YAY! :)
