Housebreaking not going well.

I just got my first boxer 3 days ago and we are not doing well with housebreaking. Oz is 9 weeks old, and sleeps in my room so that if he needs to go out I can hear him and take him, but he sleeps through the night. Today was the FIRST day we were able to go outside and brave the cold and snow long enough for him to actually go pee! I praised him and offered him a treat, but he refused the treat. We are using puppy pads inside, but he ignores them altoghther. We have already had two poops on the carpet, which I cleaned thouroughly. He stays in the bathroom with his food and water, his bed and a puppy pad when I leave for work. I am gone 3 to 3 1/2 hours before I come spend and hour with him. Then my boys come home and take over, usually an hour, sometimes less, after I go back to work.
I was really depending on the puppy pads. That was how we trained our Yellow Lab. We sat her on them every morning and so on, and after a few minutes she would go. We moved the pad closer and closer to the door and eventually out the door, which is where she has now gone for the last 4 years.
Maybe I am just nervous about a new puppy, but if anyone sees anthing that I should NOT be doing, or has any suggestions for an easier transition, it would be appreciated!!

I would forgo the pads altogether. It just sends a message that they can go inside. It's hard and time consuming but you and all members of the family must be on the same path about getting the pup outside frequently, even as often as every 15-30 minutes during waking hours.

At 9 weeks they can't hold it for very long. Their bladders are just too small. Remember that all pups need to go potty after all meals, after waking and after playing. Find a treat that your pup loves and offer that as well as tons of praise when he does go outside. Be on the lookout for signs of him having to go, sniffing the ground, circling etc.... Set him up to succed not to fail by not giving him the oppourtunity to go inside. He needs to be in the room with you at all times, that way you will always be on the lookout for signs and can get him outside immediately.

Bell training also works wonders. You can do a search here on BW for ways to go about it. If he does have an accident make sure to clean it up well so that he can't smell it and want to go there again. You probably have a few more months left where you can expect accidents, but they do learn fast with the correct training. Expect setbacks but he will get there. If you catch him in the act, startle him by saying "NO" and pick him up and take him outside. No need to punish him or get upset....he is a baby and won't understand what he is doing is wrong only that when you catch him you get upset so he will just learn to hide when he does have to go.

I need help we have 3 boxes soon one more puppy from a litter when samson had pup

Hello, I am a retired Deputy Sheriff and have had boxers all my life, So after Slugger passed away it was a fulll year before we got Samson who is 7 yrs old and is wonderful.
The ages of them are like this
Samson is 7ys, 4 months
Southern Star is 1yr, 3 months
Hercules is 6 months,
the problem is eating we fix seperate bowls feed in seperate rooms not to have fights. The problem come if Samson is eating he will let both puppies Star and hercules share his bowl, if he leaves Hercules goes after star and starts a fight over the food.
My mom is getting the pick of the littler from when we mated Samson, who do i keep the others from hurting her. I do not have to worry about he thinks they are his, it is the2 little ones i am worried anout.
Also the female star loves to dig holes under my new house in the back yard,

every thing we try to get her to stop before she digs up the lines for my 38 thousand ground pool is bad shape but i need help for them sun bathing on the dash Board.
