House dogs?!?

Both my male and female go for walks after sundown usually around 8:30 pm. I feel like the pavement is just too darn hot for their feet. But, my male likes to suntan on the pool deck which does not get hot like pavement. My female, I'd say she is an indoor lover. Sometimes when they go out in the back he lays down and she will go to the sliding glass door to come in. I let her in and tell the kids to check on the "Life Guard" in 10 min. He usually will be at the door in about 20min anyway.

Killian loves to be outside. He doesn't even mind the rain (unless it is pouring of course). My other boxer loved it too, when we lived at our old house they had a ball out in the yard. We had lots of huge shade trees and perfect sunny spots in the grass they loved to lay in. Now we are in our new house and the yard is not fenced yet, but whenever we are out Killian is with us and he has a new favorite spot in the front yard by our tiny tree that he rolls around and suns himself in. Some days he will just refuse to come in when I take him potty, he will go far out (our yard is really big) and just sit or lay down. Then I will have to beg him to come in! At the old house I used to let them stay out as much as they wanted. I can't wait to get our fencee up so Killian can romp out there as much as he wants. And get a new puppy too.....

our boxers like to be outside, too. BUT, it gets very, very hot down here. so if it is above 100 degrees or in the nineties, they will only go outside to do business and that is it. at least they have enough common sense to know when it is too hot.

Sindee loves to be hot side all day. When the sun goes down I have to go and find her in the back yard so she will come inside. Silly girl.

We always have the doors open for the dogs to come and go as they please. Ray is usually following me, whether I am in our out, and Sugar is usually out. It can even be raining and Sugar will sometimes refuse to come in - she prefers to either be running around in the rain, or staying in their outdoor kennel, if the sun is shinning and not too hot she is stretched out on the lawn.

Layla loves to be outside too. Sunbathing or playing with her toys. But she also loves to be inside with her family just as much!

Brutus loves to be outdoors. I have a good sized fenced in backyard and he loves to explore and play every inch of it. As long as he has plenty of water he loves it. Crashing out in a nice shady spot under a tree seems to be one of his favorite daytime activities...

Cisco also loves to be outside. He will go to the door to go out anytime anyone is near it. He wants back inside within a few hours, so I think he prefers the inside.
