Today i was coming home from running my errands.i have a cat that i have been fostering taht somehow managed to slip through the door without my knowledge.I came home to my male boxer barking looking really concerned by something and on my way to the toilet there was blood everywhere and when i walked in there lay a sopping wet cat and a white boxer with blood on her face.Somehow my white boxer Killed the cat i think drownding it in the toilet and then dragging it on to the floor .My kids were horrified I was to at that point, i didnt know what to do i took the cat strait to the vet to be puut to sleep:(This has been a VERY tragic week with finding those puppies thankfully alive ,then finding the dead pups:( and then this.I wont get rid of my boxer over this inncodent but something puzzles me she is fine with a 4 week old kitten but what would of cause her to so brutely kill the adult cat? Is it because it could run and was like a game for her?Is there anyway of correcting this behavior so she will not bother cats .I am sorry this happened I wish i knew Mama cat had gotton in and i could of prevented this i feel gilty about the whole thing.I just dont know what to say.Any advice or input would be great!

Wow. Condolensces. :(

You've had a run of bad luck lately with the "rescue" that you bought and had to have put down, and the dead puppies that you found, now the cat that was killed by one of your dogs that you then had to have killed again...

Good thing the cat only had 2 lives left.

As of now i have 4 boxers 1 beagle pup left she will be being placed in a wonderful home in Minnesota they found wonderful homes and 4 kittens 3 of which are available for their new homes now and one of which is still bottlefeeding.I kept the dog taht attacked the cat there was no reason to get rid of her yes she made a mistake by getting a hold of the cat but I didnt know that the cat had gotton in the house or i could of prevented it.I find it odd she does not mind the four week old kitten taht i have hand bottlefed since she was about 3 days old but then again the kitten isnt really able to run from her and isnt scared of her either because she was introduced to the dogs at an early age i beleive that maybie when my white boxer got a hold of the cat maybie the cat was scratching her and it ticked her off i dunno .But it is sad :(

LOL, I missworded this when i wrote it, the cat wasnt completley dead she was still alive when i found her but barley she let out a few really sad meows and couldnt move and obviously had some major trauma done to her. There was a faint heartbeat but i did have to have the vet put her to sleep no need in prolonging her suffering when obviously there was nothing that could be done:(
