I think if the Timberwolf Ocean Blue doesnt work for him (should be getting it any day now), my next step is RAW. I am grossed out by most raw meat, so the Honest Kitchen seems like it would be the best option for me...and the next best thing for Roscoe

Just a quick correction, it actually hydrates to 43 lbs. So, $1.16 - $1.70 per lb., which really is comparable to the high-end kibbles, and way cheaper than most prepared raw.

You're right. 43, not 30. I didn't remember it being that outrageously priced when we tried it before, but saw it on the shelf and had 30 lbs stuck in my head. Thank you for the correction.

Bravo + inexpensive RMBs bought from the butcher is a little cheaper for us than THK. Bravo alone would be more expensive, for sure. I think we pay about $2-3/lb, depending on the meat type and quantity.

I think it sounds like you should give it a try. It's the perfect food for what you want out of it. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your dogs aren't food snobs like mine.
