Homemade repellent?

Hi all,

My Buddy Tyson is obsessed with our plants... anyone know of any homemade sprays/repellents I can whip up to help him get over his obsession?

Good old home made training!!!

Stop trying to find the easiest way out. The leave it command works well. Train your dog what you want the dog TO DO, not what you don't want the dog to do.

A good homemade repellant: Get one of those spray containers similar to what Nifti and other household cleaning agents use. Put in 1/3 bottle Tobasco sauce and 4 pinches of Fine-Ground Black Pepper. Fill the rest of the spray container with waiter. Shake well. With this you can spray plants or old clothes or anything you want your dog to leave, and it's pretty much guaranteed that after a few sprays he won't go near it.

I'm using this to stop my dog taking washing off the clothes line.

Cayenne Pepper

We use Cayenne Pepper which you can mix into water and it will hold to the plants. Our dog hates the smell of it so bad now that he will not go near anything with that smell. We have used this outside with great success. The other thing is keep a good supply of toys and rotate them often.
