Just thought I would share my little rascals day home alone...My fiance was at work and I was at school, so we thought we would give our puppy (8 months) a chance at being out of the kennel, beides the fact that he is getting too big!! Well I came home at lucnh to let him out and everything was fine...But around 3 when my fiance came home he walked in to a perfectly clean sitting room and living room, praised Kain and went to go to the bathroom upstairs..Kain immediately ran to his pillow. It seems that Kain is in some smart rebellion mode lately and thought he would really test us out. Instead of making a mess in the living room (the usual place) he decided to bring everything upstairs to our bedroom. So we found...a jar of peanut butter completely eaten (from the counter in the kitchen), the bathroom trash thrown all over, and this is bad but a box of tampons chewed up (I don't know how he got under the bathroom sink) and the first collectors doll my fiance ever gave me when we started dating:mad: ...needless to say Kain's day home alone won him everyday at the dog sitters while we are gone!!!! Is anyone elses Boxer around this age going through some spiteful rebellion stage?????

Tell me we are not alone!!

yah, i've tried that once! i even thought i could outsmart kaiser by puppy proofing my room while i was gone. the first four hours after i came home for lunch there was nothing wrong he had been playing with his toys etc etc

after i got home from work however, he decided that he was tired of his toys and proceeded to unmake my bed for me, play with all the pillows, get into the computer (my friend had taken off the cover at lunch and forgotten to put it back on) and tear the blinds off the window.

i pretty much learned my lesson after that. so kaiser stays in the crate everytime i leave.

i even thought i could "watch" him from my webcam, that obviously didnt work to well either lol!!

misbehaving

I can sympathise with how you must feel with Kain and Kaiser. I have a dark brindle and white boxer ( Thorn) who is 18 months. He has chewed up the contents of the bathroom bin while we have been out. He only is naughty when we are out. he has chewed cushions, shoes, slippers, coats and plants. Just when we think we have moved everything out of his reach while we are at work he manages to find something else to chew. Luckily he does not bother with furniture. We had to get a big cage/ pen for him for while we were at work. Then we left the cage door open while we were at work and he stopped acting up. Then we put the cage away and got him a basket. He was fine for a few months, but now he has started again chewing shoes, pulling coats off of hooks! We have had to get his cage out again as it is soul destroying to come home to such destruction. we hate him going in the cage and don't understand why he's started again. He goes out everyday for a run just the same. Any ideas anyone? HELP!
