Holy Bug's Ear Batman, the Moose is eatin em

Does anyone in Boxerworld have a dog like this??? My Moose is the guarde dog of bugs. He spots a bug and chases it. then he will catch it and eat the bugger.

This is so bizzare to me. He has sat by one of my plants on watch for a moth that has crept under the pot. Moose looks like a patrol dog, ready to ponce as sson as he sees a bug. Once he has eaten the darn thing, he walks around like he has saved us all from the terror of bugdome.

This summer we have more flying things, like beatles and moths, I am afraid he will get sick.

Anyone out there who has this same thing happen?? It is kinda funny to watch. :eek:

Funny, but definitely disgusting. It's usually a mad race to see if we can wrestle the bug away before it's (eeeeks) swallowed

Oh yes, we know this all to well! Extremely funny, yet pretty gross!

We will catch Asia's eyes wandering across the ceiling, then we'll look up and lo and behold, there will be a bug flying around. She will stand real still, ready to pounce, then she does her snapping turtle thing. She'll stick her head way out and snap, then her head will go back to normal - she's such a turtle !

I cannot count the number of bugs she has eaten ... lots of flies! YUCK! :rolleyes:

Yeah!! Pimp chases lightning bugs then pounces and eats them..GROSS!! I am waiting for his poop to light up one day because he eats so many!!

Every night!!! The girls go out and go on their bug hunt before bed. I've tried to stop them, but when there a million bugs, 2 boxers and 1 me, there is no hope. This has now become a nightly ritual!! I just hate the crunching when it's a beetle.

Awwww yes, the bug patrol. Koda also is the bug patrol at our house. He sees something fly by the back door and he immediately wants out. He's really going to enjoy the dog door once we get it in.

Before we killed them all, there were wasps in the metal of the trampoline. Koda would sit there for hours watching the holes just waiting for them to come out so he could attack. Pretty funny to watch, but yes, pretty disgusting at the same time.

Bentley loves to go moth hunting in the grass in the front yard. He walks through the lawn very slowly waiting for one to fly off then he pounces on it! He also thinks ants are quite tasty and potato bugs. Usually the potato bugs live though because they get lost in his jowels and fall out later The MOST disgusting things he likes though are slugs!!! Ewwww. He seems to enjoy the dried up chewy ones best. He loves to go for walks around the neighborhood and see how many he can find before mommy can direct him out of the way. Ew ew ew.

Ty is the lightning bug king-he chases and eats them every night. The first one he caught, he made this awful face, but he seems to enjoy them now. We have so many this year, that I can't keep him from catching them, there's just too many. He always looks so proud afterwards, like he won the fight-what a goofball!

I think my female, Marine (sounds like Karen) is related to the Crocodile Hunter. She thinks it is her job to keep those pesky little Lizards we have here in FL away from our pool. It is really gross when she actually gets one because they aren't all small. I usually can get her away from the murdered ones. She is usually fast enough to scare them into dropping their tails. When that happens she stops dead and looks at the wiggling piece with her head tilting as if to say "Where did he go?". She is a riot to watch. When they run faster than her she will sometimes look back at me as if to say "Why are they running away?" I always tell her "Well Marine you know after the first murder they spread the word about you." She is just a ball to watch out there.
