Hi! I was just hoping to get some advice...I am taking my boxer in to the Picture People tomorrow evening to get a holiday portrait of him (and I together). He is still a very active, curious guy, (he'll be two the end of January). He gets very excited with new people and will be very anxious in this setting, I am sure. Any ideas on the best ways to keep him 'behaving' to get a good photo? I am planning on treats, but any other ideas may help!!! Thanks a bunch!!!

Is it a dog photographer?
You'd be surprised at how good they are at getting a dog's attention. I had two of my photographed at ages: 6 months and 2 years and the pics came out great!

Say cheese!

I have also heard to really tire them out beforehand or take the photos closer to their naptime!! Hope your photos come out great!!

Good luck,

Taryn and Layla

I agree with Layla's Mom. Tiring her out always works with my little girl when I want pictures. Good luck!

I'll try to keep him busy tomorrow afternoon with a lot of games and fun...if it's warm enough, we may even go to the park. Hopefully that will wear him out!! Thanks for the advice!! I'll let you know how they turn out!!

Completely Boxer Crazy
we took our girls 2 weeks ago, and we just had a friend come over and do them for us (she is photographer for a newspaper) but she had never met the dogs - and our rescue is scared to death of strangers and our youngest is still a curious puppy in an adults body :) but they did great!!!!!!!!! i was really worried, but since they were with us we had no problems - we let them visit with the lady for about 10 mins before we ever tried taking pics. hope everything works out for ya'll

A tired dog is a good dog.

We had family pictures taken with Magnum and I got a really great shot of him and our daughter Justice by holding a treat up while the photographer shot the picture.
