Hey everyone My name is Lissa (Short for Melissa) I just got a female Boxer Mix pup! She was said to be 12-14 weeks, But I believe she is really 16 weeks, according to the dates/ages on her medical records. She has all of the colorings of a fawn boxer, (white markings is fawn right? ) and the body of a boxer, but her muzzle is much longer than a boxers. We can't tell what she is mixed with. She was said to be 3/4 boxer, but we're not sure because if she was only 1/4 something else, I don't think her muzzle would be so long... Mabye she is mixed with Lab, dane.. mabye we'll never know.. ?Doesn't really matter, she is an adorable, loving, well behaved yet stubborn as all heck sweetheart named maggie, and we're glad to be a part of this site I'll post a picture as soon as we buy a new charger for our digi cam, for now here is a link to her pic that was taken at the shelter. Her name was Whisper then. She is the one in the red collar

You guys are all so sweet! There is a lot of great information here for us, I love it! This will be a great place when I need to take a "time out" of my own for a patience reload!
We just moved in here Sat. morning, and Got the puppy Monday! My husband (Alex~29) and I also have 2 boys Tyler (7) and Adam (4) plus, 2 cats Hershey & snowflake (both 7yrs old). We aren't even settled in yet, and the new puppy was like instantly having another child!! My husband has always wanted a dog, my boys and I have also, but my hubby wanted one most of all, but he agreed it wasn't fair to a dog to have to live on the 2nd floor of an apartment..(they werent allowed anyways) so we would wait until we got a house. Well, I know we have a house now, but I wouldnt have minded waiting to unpack first!! I'm utterly exhausted from moving, and since hubby works all day, Unpacking and settling in the house, the kids (who need alot of extra one on one attention right now too) and the dog (training, feeding, cleaning, playing ect ect) are allll mine. *sigh* I already had second thoughs about keeping her, (usually only at night when i'm dead tired) And hubby, of course, would love to be able to come home from work, play with the dog when the mood strikes, and ..that's it... HA! <snort>
My cat POOPED on my BED for the first time in 7 years. :I They were just starting to roam the house when the pup came home, so they aren't willing to leave my room again, and i'm not willing to stick their litter box in my room. Poor kitties.

Gonna be quite interesting around here for a few months!

Wow, I prolly shouldn't have posted at ALL at this time of night! I'm usually really not a whine bag! Maggie must be rubbing off on me T_T
