Boxer Pal
Our Boxer, Belle (RIP), used to get hives when she would go outside and play on the grass. It turned out that the granule (sp) lawn food/herbaside was causing the problem. Bendaryl and bathing corrected the problem until I could find a different lawn food.

Hope this helps.

Boxer Buddy
Gus is 1 1/2 and has his first case of hives. It started over 24 hours ago and I have been giving benadryl just about every four hours. I have only given him 25 mg. He's about 60 pounds. He's not getting any better. I was trying to hold off going to the emergency vet-of course it's the holiday weekend but he looks terrible and they seem to hurt. I'm wondering if I should give him 50 mg but reluctant because of his size. I'm going to give him a bath now but I think a bee sting brought it on. What dosage has anyone given? Is 50 mg too much. When i'm at work I give benadryl alot and 50 mg zonks humans. I don't want to hurt him. Any suggestions?
