Hiking leg in the house...

This morning when we first got up we let Keno & Daisy out of their cage...first thing I usually do is let them outside to do their job...well only Daisy wanted to go, which isn't unusual because Keno likes to make his rounds saying good morning to the kids before he's ready to go out...no big deal since he NEVER has accidents in the house...well I was in the laundry room by the back door & Keno came in & walked thru to the kitchen...before I could even get to the door he hiked his leg on the kitchen chair, where mine & my daughters jackets were hanging, and started to pee !!!!!! I said "Keno NO!" kinda loud and he immediatly stopped & I put him outside...
ok, so that was something very different for Keno to do (even tho I know some males do hike their leg in the house)....but...while I was in the bathtub awhile ago he did it again!!!!!! :mad: What is up with this dog?!!!!! Does anyone else have this prob with thier intact males? He's 7 mos old now and is scheduled to be neutered in Jan.....I've noticed lately when he & Daisy are outside that he pee's right after Daisy pee's and in the same spot ! :rolleyes:

It is not an uncommon issue with intact males - and one of the biggest motivators for neutering when it happens

I'd be getting him neutered asap Back to housetraining 101 as well.

Incidentally, he is probably marking territory when he pees inside. He is certainly doing that when he pees right behind the other dog. Asserting yourself a bit more as the leader rather than him could help somewhat.

Keno's scheduled for neutering on the 7th of Jan (if I can wait that long, that is!) ....hopefully that will take care of the problem! Back to housebreaking 101 huh?!! Great!!! Barely had to work on that at all when we first brought him home because he caught on very quick ! :rolleyes:

Michelle, that is so crazy that Rocco will try to mark his territory in OTHER people's homes..and even with him being neutered!!! These crazy boxers, I just don't know about 'em sometimes...
