I have just purchased my first Boxer puppy a few weeks ago. Maggie is 10 weeks old and has been a great adition to the family. My question is she gets the hicups after she eats or drinks water, is this because she is eating to fast or is it just normal for puppies to do this.

Thanks,
Kevin

My Maggie practically kept hiccups for a few months, I guess she finally outgrew them. She still gets them occasionally when she's nervous or drinks too fast.

Maxwell is 10 weeks old and get the hiccups too. At first I was like maybe he is getting them too often. I did a search and there is more info on the hiccups in puppies. The impression I have got is they get them as puppies and will out grow them. So, as they get older they don't get them as often.

Kuma still gets them a lot...not as much as when we first brought her home, though. It's perfectly normal!!!
