Boxer Pal
My 10 week old female puppy has a bad case of hicups, she gets them every time she eats, (atleast i think that she has hicups). She gets tiny spasms in her tummy and they seem uncomfortable, it happens about twice a day. Is there anything i can do to help her out.
Thanks Chrystal

Hiccups are quite normal in puppies, and ususally last until they are a year old (sometimes later). They are just a spasmatic reaction, just like in humans, and are part of the growing process.

There is nothing you need to do. Just let the pup rest until they pass.

Good luck.

Luke gets the hiccups at least once a day, mainly in the morning when he wakes up. Hes always done that since I brought him home and he will be 2 tomorrow. Stella gets them everynow and then, but near as much as Luke. Ive always thought it was normal. Hehehehe, sometimes its cute!

Just like GoCougs stated that hiccups are very normal for puppies.

Samantha had them quite frequently up until the age of 5 month's and Syd is only 3 month's old and he gets them maybe once a day.

Syxx got them occasionally as well. He is almost a year old now and hasn't had them for a long time. Unfortunately instead of hiccups he occasionally has gas.
