Chato regularly get hickups. Not just little ones. These things are funny to watch. I talked to a friend that has two boxers he said his get them all the time. The vet told me to raise his bowl, but that gave him gas. Is there anything i can do or do your dogs get hickups too?

It is not uncommon in pups since they are gulping food, air and water. LOL---little piggies.

But just have them take a drink of water. Or even use a squirt bottle to give them water. Makes the hiccups go right away :)

Boxer Buddy
My Buster always hickups after drinking water or eating food - it's weird. He did it more as a pup. He doesn't hickup as much anymore (he's a little over 1 year old now).

Hey guys,
Copper gets the hickups but worse yet, he throws up his food alot just after consuming it. Is this normal as well? I think I should raise his bowl but he has this habbit of grabbing a mouth full of food and dumping it all over the kitchen floor, then he hoovers it up one by one! What can I do...will the throwing up pass?
Thank you so much for any feedback.

Two thoughts:

1. Yes, raise his bowl
2. Ration the food. If he does insist on taking chunks and putting them on the floor, feed him one tablespoon at a time in his bowl. Kind of like feeding a baby except you put the spoonful in the bowl instead of his mouth :) Kind of a pain, but he can't pig out on his food if you only give him a mouthful at one time.

That should slow him down :)

You could try putting a large rock or ball in the food bowl. It will slow down his eating as he will have to work a little harder to get his food.
