My five month female "Star" gets the hick-ups frequently (daily). She eats nothing but the best. Is this natural? Any thing I can do to prevent?

Thank you,

Mt Roxy gets them daily. She is only 9 weeks, but I would guess it is a lot like babies. Babies get them a lot (at least mine did) and the doctor said that they are not that uncomfortable to the babies as they are to us.

Roxy actually falls asleep when she has them and they go away (for a while).

Don't know why they get them, but don't think they bother them too much.

Hick-ups...

Yeah, my baby Shadow, thats how I can tell if he has to go pee-pee or boo-boo.. Usually when he starts that, I take him right outside and he does his business. I didn't know what it was or is but thats what I take it as. Hope that helps.

When I first got Calla, she had the hiccups all the time. We were told that it was a sign she was growing and her lungs were expanding. Now that she is a little older, she doesn't have them as often. I don't know how true this is, but it makes sense.

Most (if not all) boxer puppies get hiccups. It's something they gradually outgrow, and nothing you need to be concerned about. Most people get hiccups far more frequently when they're small children than as adults too.

Hick-ups

When Stitch was younger he got them three to four times a day. Once he got to be around five-six- months old he got them less frequently. I cant remember him having them in the past month or two. It is nothing to worry about.
