Boxer Buddy
My 5 month old Boxer gets the hiccups every time he wakes up from a nap. I don't think this is anything to be alarmed about as it only lasts about 30 seconds, but it does seem to shock him. I was wondering if anyone else's Boxer does the same. The funny thing is my mutt started the same thing last night, I don't know if it some sort of copy cat move, but I think it is a little strange.

Oscar had the hiccups quite a bit when he was younger. They usually went away after a few minutes. Now that he's older (11 months) he hardly ever has them. I've heard it's a puppy thing. I wouldn't worry about them.

Ronin used to get the hiccup's all the time when he was younger. I really didn't notice that he hadn't heard him hiccup in a long time - until he did it the other day. He's 15 months now but he still has a lot of growing to do :)

Jade is 16 months old and she STILL gets the hiccups! Mostly happens after she eats. My vet said its normal. Dont even worry about it! :)

Jag is 9 1/2 weeks old and gets the hiccups at least once a day too. They don't last long though and don't really seem to bother him. Part of being a puppy I guess. :)

I just had to reply to this because my Belle is 4 1/2 months and is a "hiccuper". They sure don't last long, but I've never seen anything like it! I guess from what other's say it's a normal thing. She just sounds so silly!

Abigail use to get hiccups all the time and her entire boby would jump. You could hear her they were pretty loud. She would do it for a while then they would finally go away. She's now 7 months old and only gets them once in a while. It's just a puppy thing not a problem.
