Hi. New to boxers and the board.

I have a 15 week old boxer pup. His name is Chewie, which is short for Chewbacca. He's an AKC registered boxer (or will be when I send the paperwork in) and he's a welcome addition to our family. Previous dogs have been rescued huskies and husky mixes. I've had him since he was ~7.5 weeks old.

He's a flashy fawn with a black face, has a tail that was bobbed too long, and uncropped ears. I really enjoy his temperament and energy, and so does the rest of his family.

I am interested in training him and socializing him properly, and about the breed in general.

I think you'll find that you named him appropriately, once he starts making all the goofy noises!

I absolutely love him, and so does the rest of the family. He's got a great temperament and he seems deviously intelligent. And he's at the stage where he's athletic with leaps and twists, but also clumsy and trips over his paws.

Even though I keep him off the furniture, he will sneak onto the couch to sleep when no one's looking, and he's also turning into a notorious counter surfer. I don't feed him from the counter or the table, so it's just his own inclinations, I guess.
