Well now..Howdee neighbor! I live in Clyde of all places hehe! I went to Pisgah and have a horse up in Dutch Cove. Shoot we probably know each other!

Dontcha just love boxers! I have had three thus far and dont plan on having any other breed. They just capture your heart My boy is 7 and he is a wild child LOL..Welcome to BW and its nice to know I have a fellow boxer lover neighbor

Rocks mom Im close to you too..I meet my grandparents over at Harrahs from time to time. They live at Nantahala Lake. Nice to meet you too!

Cool, I went to Pisgah too! I graduated in 1995. I do love my boxer baby. The only other breeds I have had was a cocker spaniel for 10 years, and he was unable to ever be house broken and an English Bulldog for 10 years. We got them within months of each other and they died within months of each other. I miss them but Star helps with that. I wouldnt ever have another Cocker just from my own experience but I would have another English Bulldog. They are sweet too. But, for now I am way to busy spoiling the heck out of this little girl. I can't get over how affectionate she is!

Im older than you by many years LOL..I graduated in 1988

We used to raise cockers when I was in grade school, nice dogs and english bulldogs are neat too.

Good to see you here on BW. This place is full of good advice! If you need any recommendations for a vet for your boxer I use a place in asheville that is simply the best. Having been in haywood my entire life and having animals that long too I can honestly say I'd not take my boxer anywhere else. I posted a thread quite sometime ago with a link to their website. The vet I see has a white boxer too

Hi! We go to Junaluska Animal Hospital. Not sure if they are good or not. This is where we have always gone. But, I would love to know where you take your dog. I sure want what is best for my girl. And a vet that has a boxer would be awesome. I don't mind the drive.

Melanie I wont say anything bad on here about that office as I dont think Im supposed to, But i stopped going there after a few incidents with my boxer. The place i use now is familiar with Boxers and are very knowledgable about the breed.

Here is a link to the website so you can have a look at it and see what you think. Im not promoting them for any other reason except that they are good to my boxer and I prefer having a vet treat my "child" that knows about the breed. I feel very comfortable with them and so does Tango. He has had several surgeries there as well. If you decide to take your pup over there ask them for a walk thru of the clinic. You will be amazed at how they treat all animals that come to them. They have a nurse that stays with the animals as they are waking up from surgery! I saw two nurses sitting in the floor holding blanket wrapped dogs..petting and talking to them as they came out of the anesthisa. That impressed me! I cant say enough about the facility.
