Hi I'm Sara, I love talking about my dogs and with Ricochet, my Boxer, being my latest addition I just don't seem to be able to stop going on about how fantastic he is! I'm sure I'm really getting on all my friends nerves!
Rico is actually the second Boxer to live with me, sadly our first Boxer, Shadow-walker died when he was only eight weeks old. We're not really sure why, but our vet told us that it's not unheard of for puppies to pass for the same reasons as cot death. It really broke my heart, he was such a personality! My neighbor had a puppy from the same litter and after two months she found that she just couln't cope with the puppy, her baby, two kids etc, and she made the difficult decision of giving him away so he could have a more relaxed lifestyle. She thought of me and I'm so glad she did! Having Ricochet hasn't made me forget Shadow but he has certainly taken away the pain and the feeling of loss.

Hi Sara! I'm Melissa and I am also new here. I thought I would say hello and start to meet some people! I am so sorry to hear about your baby, Shadow. It's so hard to lose a pet we love, even if we only got to have him for a short time. I am glad your nieghbor thought of you and that you have a new baby to love. Anywhoo, just wanted to say hello...hope to hear from you soon!!

Hello & welcome Sara...I am so very sorry for the loss of Shadow at such a young age. You have such a good heart to open up again so very quickly with another young one...God Bless You. I look forward to hearing more from you & Rico.

So sorry to hear about your little Shadow, but it is nice that you have his little brother to help you get over your sadness. Ricochet will have his own personality as all Boxers do. We have had 4 and all of them have been different, Winston liked poking his nose into everything he could; Brenin was a proper water baby, he loved getting soaked with the hose; Sergeant was a sunbathing boy, he would lay out in the sun for hours and he loved his fruit & vegetables; and now Isabelle, we are still finding out about her, she loves chasing squirrels, doesn't like anything coming up behind her and she 'neck surfs' (she puts her chin & neck on the rug and pushes with her back legs and surfs along).
