Hi from Wisconsin

I have two wonderful boxers. My oldest will be two years old on July 21st. Toby is my big brindle boy. He has many issues such as allergies, IBS and is very high energy. We love him so very much. My vet said there is a reason we have him as our boxer, cause not everyone would devote such time and resources to his care.

Ike is my youngest - we adopted him from the wonderful people at Green Acres Boxer Rescue of WI. He is deaf, you wouldn't know it though. He is 8 months old and is just a joy. He is very smart and a great companion for Toby. His favorite thing to do is play ball.

I have been called the mother of all misfits by a dear friend of mine. I also have several cats that live with us as well. Ferral cats that I could not let get thrown away because of their attitudes - they are now all tame and loving. It just takes time and patience.

Welcome!! I fell in love with Ike the moment I saw him on GABR's website lovicon . Glad to see that there are others from the south central area of Wisconsin, most seem to be from the north. You are such a wonderful person for taking in Ike and sticking it through with Toby.

Welcome to BoxerWorld! We all enjoyed seeing Ike when you brought him to Dog Fest in Madison a few weeks ago. It's amazing how fast he has grown - I didn't even recognize him at first!

Welcome...... you seem to a kind hearted person. There needs to be a few more out there like you. It is so sad that people so easily let their pets go when times get rough. When you spend a lot of time with you pets, they can change. Animals have some much love to offer but sometimes it takes a little bit more work to get that love to come out.
Glad you joined the forum. I look forward to hearing some stories etc that you may have to tell.
