Merhaba!!! We are an Airforce family stationed in Turkey. We found our Boxer Reis here. ( his name means " leader" in turkish) He is 8 months old, and he is brindle. I got him in Adana city. When I saw him , he was chained on a small chain to a pole, malnourished , and lonely. the owner said it was his playtime. I bought him off the owner immediately. Since we have had him, We have had our ups and downs. you can tell he was beaten before , because he can be aggressive. I am having a difficult time potty training him. But we love him. If anyone knows how to help with the house breaking let me know!!

Welcome to BoxerWorld! Wow, Turkey, that's so exotic! My dad was a pilot in the Canadian forces but the furthest we got was Germany (and i wasn't born yet *L*). Well done for rescuing him from the pole and chain!
He might be marking territory by going to the bathroom in your house, the only thing that worked for us was taking Konah outside every hour or so and praising him like crazy when he went outside. If we caught him peeing inside we'd say, "NO! OUTSIDE!" Pick him up and carry him outside to finish. He's now five months old and we haven't had an accident for almost a month. Hope this helps!

Sevindirici!! Reis is so lucky to have found a permanent home with you. Im sure once he gets acclimated to the loving environment you are providing for him, he will be more trusting of you and less agressive. Completely Boxer Crazy
Welcome to BW! We just rescued a 15-month male boxer from a California Boxer Rescue. We are having up and down times also. I lost my female boxer, Magic, a month and 1/2 ago. She was perfect and hated breaking house rules. Deeg, our boy, is the complete opposite. He challenges us all the time. When I have time, I read past post on BW about behavior problems. It has really helped me. You will find BW to be a wealth of information and support. Welcome to BW, It makes me so happy to hear that another boxer rescued from a "tie up" life style.
